Council Member
Dean is dedicated to making every effort to ensure that all students
are afforded an opportunity to learn, to do their best and to be the best
that they can be. Those efforts include awarding funding for
grants from a limited discretionary fund in the the Prince George’s County
operating budget to schools and PTAs. This funding is to
help encourage advanced learning or to assist with special projects
such as the presentation to the Largo High School Band for its uniform
fund.
The District 6 Team is pleased to have 23 public
schools located in District 6: 14 elementary, 3 middle, 4 high
schools, 1 evening/Saturday high school, and 1 specialty school.
